Can you believe I'm still waiting?

HI Folks, I am still waiting on Food Network, however, I have decided that if I do not hear from there by Friday I am going to go ahead and start blogging. If they don't like it I am sure I will hear from them. But I don't see where the problem would be because all the recipes I am going to use are available to the public through their website. I will have to learn how to put a thumbnail or whatever it's called of their website on here so y'all can click on it and go to Food network.com. However, you will find that I am new to this blogging thing so I do not know how to do a lot of those types of things. I know how to do new posts and add photos that's about it. Anyways....instead of me constantly posting that I am still waiting to hear from them I won't post now until Friday after I try my first recipe unless I hear from them. So everyone enjoy your week. I shall return.

Still waiting to hear

Hey y'all, I am still waiting to hear back from Food Network. I am thinking it should be okay because the recipes I am going to use are all available to the public on their website. But I will feel better hearing it from them. Until then, I did go and buy some chocolate chips, maple bacon and rice crispies. I am going to make little pieces of candy. I will share with y'all whose recipe it is as soon as they tell me it's okay. So until tomorrow...Big crispy chocolate bacon huggs!!!!

Day 1

Well today is the first day of my decision to learn how to bake and cook. I do know how to make basic dishes, however, I want to learn how to actually cook and bake. You know learn which spices go with what foods. Or when baking when do you whisk vs beat. Things like that. However, because I want  to use recipes from the Food Network channel I have to wait for them to get back to me. I need to know if they are okay with me doing this. If they are not then I am going to go pull out a shoebox full of recipes that my best friend's mom gave me and go from there. So hang in there with me...I know this is going to be a fun and learning experience. I will be honest with how things turn out and how they taste. I should add I am a very picky eater so this should be a hoot. I am hoping to hear back from them soon because I want to go shopping tomorrow. I should also share with you that I do not cook on a normal basis. When my husband is home from work which is not often then I cook. I should say grill, he is a steak and potatoes man. So my pantry is bare. I will let you know what I buy from the store and how much I spend etc.... So now I say...Let the fun begin. See you tomorrow.
